The 3rd Annual Military Winterfest showcases four days of snow-filled fun, live entertainment, savory food & exclusive military discounts. Hosted and organized by the National Veterans Wellness & Healing Center Angel Fire, this will be a winter celebration of our military serving now and in the past.

Activities: Skiing, snowboarding, sleigh rides, tubing, snowshoeing, family and non-skier activities. Vet-to-Vet ski and snowboard lessons with Adaptive Ski Programs for vets with disabilities!

2016 Spring Retreat Schedule

The 2016 Spring Retreats have been scheduled for the following dates:

May 1-8, 2016

May 22-29, 2016

June 22-29, 2016

 

All Retreats are a total of seven (7) days. All attendees must commit to the full seven (7) days.

All lodging, meals and meetings are paid by National Veterans Wellness and Healing. Transportation to and from the Retreats is the responsibility of the attendees.

Angel Fire Veterans Center Receives $1.4 Million Boost

ANGEL FIRE—  A $1.4 million contract from the New Mexico Department of Human Services will enable the National Veterans Wellness and Healing Center plans to bring 90 New Mexico veteran couples a year to Angel Fire for PTSD recovery programs the next four years. The department is providing the center $350,000-a-year to carry out the program. 

“It feels great for our veterans,” said Chuck Howe, the center’s president, said Wednesday (Oct. 16).

“We are so pleased,” said State Rep. Bob Wooley, District 66, who helped the center procure $350,000 in funding during this year’s legislative session. The $350,000 the center received for the contract this year must be spent by June 30,2015.
